Enstall and its companies Esdec and Blubase have welcomed the news of offering certainty for the solar energy market in the Netherlands with great delight. It means that the benefits of the Net Energy Metering (NEM) will maintain for existing and new residential solar customers. The Dutch Senate rejected the proposal of the House of Representatives to eliminate the NEM. This means that it will remain unchanged attractive for homeowners and smaller companies to buy solar panels and invest in a sustainable future.

Accelerating the installation of solar to enable the global energy transition is the simple goal of Enstall. With its companies Esdec, Blubase and CPX, Enstall is the market leader in the Dutch industry for mounting systems for solar panels. We contribute to increasing the capacity of solar professionals, develop safer installation methods, and provide comprehensive training and services. All while carefully considering and managing our impact on key sustainability issues.

“Ready to reclaim its momentum”

It is great that we can continue and expand our efforts now that this favorable NEM-regulation is being maintained. The energy transition represents not only a challenge but also an unprecedented opportunity to build a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Enstall’s CEO Stijn Vos: “We are very pleased that there is clarity in the market; the solar industry has worked hard over the past few years to make the Netherlands the world’s solar champion. Since last fall there has been a delay in the market due to uncertainty about net metering. Now, with renewed clarity and determination, the solar industry is ready to reclaim its momentum. Today solar energy is more affordable than ever before, with the payback period shorter than at any point in history.”

Potential of solar power

This remarkable progress underscores the tremendous potential of solar power to drive economic growth, create jobs and mitigate the impacts of climate change. We are proud to remain committed to bringing the world Solar, sooner.
