At Enstall, training isn’t just an add-on. It’s a core part of how we support installers—and build better products. Solar installation is a skilled trade. It demands knowledge, precision, and the right tools for the job.
Quality installations come from pairing the highest quality hardware with expert training. When those two pieces come together, the result is solar systems that generate clean energy reliably and safely for decades. But the benefits don’t stop there. Training also leads to faster, more efficient, and safer installations—getting teams off the roof quicker and with greater confidence.
To date, tens of thousands of installers have completed Enstall training. That number grows every day, with new installers joining a network of professionals committed to quality and safety.
Built for the Field, Not the Showroom
Enstall’s training isn’t developed by the sales team. It’s developed by our Product Performance Team—the same experts who are in the field working with installers and who also help design our mounting and racking systems. That means every training is grounded in how our products are actually used in the field, not how we wish they’d be used.
This connection between training and product development creates a real advantage for installers: training that reflects real-world conditions, systems that are easier to install, and feedback loops that continually improve our offerings.
Training for Everyone, Everywhere
We believe good training should be accessible. That’s why Enstall offers our training programs through multiple channels: directly through our website, through labor unions, and community colleges and solar training centers.
In North America, our courses provide continuing education credits recognized by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), the leading certification body for solar professionals. Installers complete a series of professionally filmed, technically detailed modules—with quizzes and a final exam—to earn a certificate.
In Europe, while there is no single unified certification like NABCEP, Enstall partners with regional institutions and technical training providers to deliver high-quality, multilingual instruction through Solar Academy. Our European trainings are designed to meet local standards, align with leading renewable training bodies, and prepare installers for the real-world conditions of their markets.
Bringing Training to the Jobsite
One of our favorite tools isn’t a bracket or a clamp—it’s the Solar Van. The Enstall Solar Van (or Bus) are mobile training units that bring our systems directly to installers. From community events to job sites, the buses provide hands-on training that shows installers exactly how to work with our products. It’s one more way we’re making learning easier and more accessible.
Virtual, On-Demand, and Instructor-Led Options
Every installer’s needs cannot be one-size-fits-all. That’s why we offer a range of learning formats, from on-demand e-learning modules that fit around busy schedules to virtual webinars and instructor-led workshops at partner locations and industry events. Whether learning from home or in a hands-on session on a mock roof, Enstall helps you build your skills your way.
Global Experience, Local Impact
Because Enstall operates across North America and Europe—and has systems installed in nearly every kind of environment—we bring a uniquely informed perspective to training.
What works in Norway may differ from what works in Nevada–as much as a roof in Germany will be different than one in New York. All installations require a combination of specialized local knowledge along with some core similarities. All of our trainings reflect the breadth of Enstall’s experience and scope. We incorporate insights from thousands of jobs, dozens of roof types, and countless situations. Our global view helps us ensure that our trainings, like our products, are flexible, practical, and rooted in what works on the roof.
The Bottom Line
Installers know that solar installation demands knowledge, precision, and the right tools for the job. High-quality installations are the result of combining advanced mounting hardware with a skilled installer. One without the other simply isn’t enough.
That’s why we invest in both at Enstall. Our systems are engineered for performance, durability, and ease of installation. But even the best equipment needs skilled hands to unlock its full potential. When well-trained professionals install well-designed products, the results are solar systems that work reliably and efficiently—for decades.
We don’t just teach people how to use our products. We teach them how to do it right the first time—and with confidence.
Because when your training comes from the same people who build the hardware, you’re better equipped to do the job safely, efficiently, and successfully.
